Lydia Kellogg
Lydia Kellogg currently works in Washington D.C. as Senior Manager, Public Safety and Security for ACI-NA (Airports Council International- North America). Kellogg negotiates with individuals and groups internally and externally; fosters industry and government partnerships and professional networking; and, identifies internal and external politics that impact or could impact the work of airports individually or the industry on the whole. Below is a letter from Lydia about her experiences at Lewis University:
If it wasn't for Karen Calloway (a Lewis Admissions Counselor) I would not be where I am today. She positively changed my life the day she made a personal commitment to help me get into college. As an inner city teenager, with no transportation, and living on my own, she drove to my apartment, picked me up and walked me through the education and admissions process. I didn't have the grades or financial support to get into any colleges, but Lewis enrolled me in their "Success Program" because they saw the potential and motivation in me to excel, which I did. I made the Dean's List a couple times, served as President for Alpha Eta Rho, and former Aviation Management Society.
Lewis University is a place any determined student can excel academically, professional and personally. Lewis University has the caliber of staff who make "personal commitments" to educate and help give underprivileged young adults a chance to excel and dramatically change their lives. I have met several fellow Lewis University Alumni who continue to thrive in aviation; but most of all Lewis University is where I've have made life long friends. For all of these I am grateful. Thank you for running this story and listening to mine.
